We invite you to come out and stroll through the Hamilton Gardens this Spring – the rare beauty of this woodland garden in full bloom, is simply magical!
Entrance into the garden is $6.00 at the gate. All proceeds from ticket sales help fund the ongoing cost of maintaining 41 years of splender in the Hamilton Gardens.
The Hamilton Rhododendron Gardens is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization.
Our 2024 Rhododendron Festival is scheduled to be the best, ever!
It all kicks off Thursday evening, April 11th at 6pm with the opening night of the Acoustic Sunset Concert Series
Our courtyard, complete with specially gourmet food vendors and crafters from all over the state of Georgia, will open for business beginning at 11am each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until close, April 12th – May 12th. Live entertainment begins on the courtyard stage at 12pm each Saturday and runs until 4pm. Entrance to the food court/courtyard is free!
Fred Hamilton's Greenhouse will be open to the public 7 days a week – 10am to 5pm. This is where all the magic happens! The greenhouse will be filled with annuals and locally grown perennials. Our Rhododendron and Native Azalea Plant Sale begins April 12th and runs through May 12th. This will feature many of the Rhododendron grown in the Hamilton Gardens. Proceeds from all plant sales go to the funding of the Hamilton Gardens.
The Top of Georgia Plein Air Festival in beautiful Hamilton Gardens takes place May 9-May 11. Top of Georgia is a 3 day painting event with $2,000 + in prize money. The public is invited to observe the artists as they work in their chosen mediums. Multiple drawings, a gallery of the artists' work and wet paint sale will be held at the Hamilton Gardens Pavilion.
The Hiawassee Highlands Wine Festival will be held just below the Hamilton Gardens, inside the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, on Saturday, May 11th. Our Tractor Trolly will shuttle visitors from the Fairground gates to up to the gardens between 12pm and 5pm. A glass of wine, some lunch and a walk in the gardens – who could ask for more?
